NEWBORN TO YEAR  5

NEWBORN +

Our PODs program is designed to help you through the busy season of parenting a newborn by providing flexible care options during Sunday church services.

We know being “attached” to a newborn can be tiring, so we want you to feel welcome to take some time to yourself and be able to participate more in the service. Should you need to nurse or feed,  our PODS room includes a TV screen with a live feed to the church services so you won’t miss out on a thing.

We’ve got changing facilities, a microwave, high chairs, and an attached sleeping room (sound proofed and dimly lit), complete with portacots so your child can have their regular sleep. We ask that you do not bring a pram as we have limited space available, however, you may like to bring other familiar items such as your child’s bouncer/capsule to sleep in or use our cots.

OLDER BABIES

Once your little one gets on the move and begins crawling, it opens up new doors in their development. So we designed the FRESH program to stimulate and engage older babies.

HEALTHY, SAFE SNACKS

We ask that you provide a snack for your child to eat, and ensure that it is healthy (eg: fruit, vegetables, rice crackers, sandwich) and allergy-friendly (ie: no nuts, peanut butter or kiwi fruit). We have many children with allergies to food who can react quite severely to being exposed to such foods, so we need to try to be considerate of this. We also ask that you avoid foods which could be a choking hazard at this age such as popcorn and carrots. Please ensure that your child’s bag and containers are clearly labelled.

TODDLERS

SPARK is a program for the toddlers of Victory Church. “Spark” means “to kindle, animate or stimulate” - and this is what our Spark room is designed to do!

HEALTHY, SAFE SNACKS

We ask that you provide a labelled drink bottle for your child and a healthy snack of fruit is provided by Victory Kids for the children to share.

PRE-SCHOOL

STOMP means "to tread heavily" and to "leave a mark”. We believe that our preschoolers and kindy kids can make a significant “mark” on this world for Jesus.

YEAR 1 TO YEAR 5

The BOOM program is explosive, interactive and fun. Through games, music, multimedia, stories, art/craft and more, we present the gospel message at an age appropriate level and create opportunities for small group discussion.

JOURNALS

We encourage your child to bring with them a journal to Victory Kids. We believe journals are a great tool in helping individuals grow and connect with God at a deeper level. It helps the children better connect with the message and receive the most they can from their connect group time through writing down the information that is important to them.

TITHES & OFFERINGS

We believe that giving is an integral part of our relationship with God. Matthew 6:21 says that it is more blessed to give than receive. Through specific teaching and leading by example, we encourage the children to bring along an offering each Sunday.

FAQ

We have our dedicated Victory Kids area inside the Victory Church building. It’s decked out with AV equipment, games, crafts, music and multimedia – and an indoor playground! Toddlers, pre-schoolers and primary school kids get to hang out in the Victory Kids area with their own children’s toilets too. Victory Kids newborns and older babies have their own areas too, a little closer to our main auditorium. The PODS room for our newborns joins onto our café and includes a live stream so mums don’t need to miss a thing.

To ensure the safety of your children, our Kids church areas have restricted access (only approved leaders and the adults you agree to collect your children) and are supervised by trained leaders. Once the child is signed in, they will stay in this area until you collect them at the end of the service.

Our programs are designed for newborns to Year 5. See below for more information on the group that best suits your child’s developmental stage.

Kids Check-In is the first point of contact for families with children attending Victory Kids. Our leaders will welcome and connect with you, then ensure your details are correct in on our electronic check-in system. Once your child is checked in, you will be provided with an ID pass. We will not allow your child to leave Victory Kids with an adult unless they have this ID pass.

We like to ensure that the children are calmly seated to await your arrival at the end of the service, so please remember to sign your child out of their room as soon as possible. With our check in system, collecting your child is safe and simple, please bring your ID pass with you to the room and give it to the room leader. If you would like someone else to collect your child for you ensure that they have the sticker, however children will not be released from Victory Kids to children under 12 years of age.

Safety of our children is one of our major priorities. All leaders are required to obtain a National Police Criminal History Clearance and Child-Safe Environments training and have references to ensure they are suitable to be working with children. Our leaders also receive ongoing training in relation to safety procedures concerning children. Our Victory Kids leaders are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of kids and helping connect them with Jesus. One of the greatest privileges for us as leaders in Victory Kids is helping children respond to God’s great love for them.

Please do not bring a pram with you into Victory Church. Not only is this a hazard to other children in the kids rooms, but it is also a fire hazard as we can not evacuate quickly enough around them. In light of this, we have a pre-determined parking area for families with young children directly opposite the foyer entrance along the fence. Please communicate to the car park team on your arrival so that they can direct you. This way you can easily transport your child from your car into Victory Kids.

If your child is unwell (ie: has a persistent cough/runny nose or temperature and/or has had diarrhoea in the last twenty four hours) we ask that you do not bring them to Victory Kids, so that we can prevent the illness from spreading to the other children and volunteers.

Please do not let your child bring toys with them into Victory Kids. They are often distracting to your child and others, and it is not nice for us to have to deal with lost/broken things. You may like to hold on to your child’s item until after Victory Kids. Any belongings left behind will be moved to the lost property box, located adjacent to the PODS baby’s room. We also ask that if your child has a backpack with a change of clothes, please keep this with you rather than leave it in the room. If your child requires changing during the service we will call you to assist with this. Our leaders are however very happy to assist with toilet training and this is very common in the SPARK room so please speak to the leaders about this if it applies to your child.
